Vehicles in Germany's City Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Officers reported they were alerted by a man who noticed a automobile in Hanau marked with reddish substance

Around fifty cars have been covered with what seems to be blood from a person in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Automobiles, building surfaces and postal boxes were defaced, in some cases with swastikas, they reported in a official communication.

Law enforcement say they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a man observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish substance.

The liquid had been drawn in the form of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then discovered many other marked vehicles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are banned in Germany under regulations outlawing the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement report early analysis suggest the liquid was likely human blood.

"Currently there is no clue as to its source; authorities are presently not aware of any injuries in association with the incident," they added.

Local authorities announced they were working "to resolve the case" and have asked to the community for information.

A senior representative stated the incident left him stunned and required to be resolved quickly.

"This act affects the core of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the far-right violent incident five years ago," he posted on online, referring to the murder of nine victims by a assailant targeting residents of migrant background in February 2020.
